🪈 SKVNC Summer Camp 2026 – The First Week: Learning with Joy 🪈

Our first week of Summer Camp has been filled with smiles, curiosity, devotion, and joyful learning. Every evening, our temple comes alive with children eagerly participating, making new friends, asking thoughtful questions, and looking forward to discovering something new.

Learning begins with curiosity. Our first week has been filled with smiles, devotion, and discovery.

🙏 Shloka Sessions

Our Bala Vrunda children have begun learning foundational prayers while understanding who we pray to, when these prayers are recited, and why they are part of our daily lives.

Our Proudha Vrunda students started learning the Sri Krishna Ashtottara Namavali, exploring the beautiful meanings behind Lord Krishna’s many names, while also revising the Sri Raghavendra Stotra.

🎶 Bhajane Sessions

Music has filled our classrooms throughout the week.

The Bala Vrunda children learned “Brundavanadi,” describing the Dashavatara of Lord Vishnu, while the Proudha Vrunda students have been enthusiastically learning “Narayanana Nene.”

📖 Story Sessions

Through inspiring stories, our children learned timeless values of Mata-Pitru Bhakti, Guru Bhakti, truthfulness, dharma, and respect for parents and teachers. Stories of Lord Ganesha, Aaruni, and discussions on our scriptures and Yugas sparked wonderful conversations and thoughtful participation.

🛕 Activity Session – Temples of India

Today’s special activity took our children on a multimedia journey across the sacred temples of India. Through photographs, videos, and engaging discussions, they explored the rich architectural beauty, history, traditions, and spiritual significance of some of India’s most revered temples. It was wonderful to see their curiosity as they discovered the diversity and grandeur of our temple heritage.

🍎 Snacks & Hospitality

No camp is complete without happy smiles during snack time! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to this week’s generous snack sponsors:

  • Anitha & Sridutta
  • Poornima & Krishna Bhat
  • Bhagya & Ram Makkittaya
  • Savitha & Ravi Upadhya

Your kindness and generosity have nourished not only our children but also the spirit of community that makes our Summer Camp so special.

Every evening, our children are learning much more than shlokas, songs, and stories. They are building friendships, strengthening their connection to our culture, discovering the joy of seva, and creating memories that will stay with them for years to come.

A sincere thank you to our teachers, volunteers, parents, and donors for making this first week such a wonderful beginning.

Jai Shri Krishna! 🙏🌸
