The Bhagavad Gita describes in Verse 17.20 that Saattvika Daana is giving out of duty, without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, to a worthy person or cause.

The Koti Gita Lekhana Yajna is a global initiative launched by Parama Poojya Shri Shri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Shri Puthige Matha in Udupi. Its purpose is to propagate the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.

The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, regarded as the essence of all the Vedas, serves as an invaluable guide for mankind in attaining supreme knowledge. Whether addressing personal issues or a spiritual path, the Gita offers solutions and insights. This wisdom is a direct message from Lord Shri Krishna, intended to elevate humanity.

The Gita teaches essential life priorities, concentration, and strategies for avoiding distractions, all of which contribute to leading a fulfilling life. It is also recognized as a management text that provides guidance for individuals facing personal challenges and global issues, thereby laying a solid foundation for success.

The core objective of the “Gita Lekhana Yajna” initiative is to invite millions of people to handwrite all 700 shlokas of the Gita in their preferred language. Emphasizing writing over reading is significant, as it helps to embed these values deeply into the intellect. This practice is open to everyone, regardless of age, religion, or gender.

Our Vision

We believe that spiritual growth should be accessible to everyone. Our commitment is to provide schoolchildren with a strong moral foundation through the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, ensuring that no child is denied this transformative wisdom because of their economic background.

Building a Foundation of Purpose

By introducing these ancient principles at an early age, we aim to go beyond academic teaching to help shape character. We prepare students to navigate life with integrity and resilience, establishing a solid foundation that guides them toward a righteous and purposeful future.

Appeal to join hands:

We kindly encourage devotees to contribute generously to this noble cause. The donated books will be distributed to deserving children in schools across India. If even one of these children finds inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita, it will create a mountain of positive karma for the donor. Below are the suggested sponsorship details to help cover the costs of printing and delivering the books to the schools.
